StingraySports.com is looking for help
We're slowly evolving. StingraySports.com will soon be live with a new look, including all Atlantic Coast HS Sports
If You Don't See Your Sport Here...Get Involved!
We are currently looking for interested volunteers who may want to contribute in any specific sport they are involved in (Parents, Students or Coaches). This could include writing articles, updating schedules / events, submitting photos...anything of interest to share with the ACHS Sports community. It's a great way to stay involved with your child's sports program. I'll take care of the technical stuff...you just gather the info and submit.
Our goal is to have the best sports website in Duval County for the Stingrays!
We need help to get it done!
The FOOTBALL Site will remain and can be reached at
AtlanticCoastStingrays.com
Contact us at stingraysports@gmail.com if interested.

ACHS Stingrays VS Fletcher
Kick Off Classic In The Books
The Stingrays had a great crowd to cheer them on at Fletcher for their opening game on Thursday night, despite multiple game delays due to lightning. . The final score was 35-0 with Fletcher on top, but our team fought a tough battle with a seasoned powerhouse, holding them scoreless in the first quarter. The Senators took a 14-0 lead into the half on a last second long TD pass.
Mandarin Christian will have to face us in "The Bay" at home on Friday.
Go Stingrays!

Stingray Baseball Summer League Forming
Coach Joel Davis has just been officially assigned the Atlantic Coast Baseball position. He is still heavily involved in several existing baseball activities including a Top 100 baseball expo that is nationally renown. He is willing to Coach a team of Atlantic Coast baseball players in a summer league but most of those leagues have already started and the time to assemble a team is limited. There is a need to get the word out since not all those qualified attended the Meet the Coaches night at the school. There are a lack of sources to find those possible candidates. If you could possibly mention this Team on your forum and the need to immediately Email Coach Davis at davisj7@duvalschools.org for those that want to and can play there might be a hope to have that team.
Our thanks to Tom Proper for pointing this out and submitting this info.

Welcome Atlantic Coast High School Stingray Football fans, team members and supporters.
Although this is NOT an "official" Atlantic Coast High School site, we will attempt to keep the site updated with the latest Stingray football news and add features both fans and players can enjoy.
Make sure you check out our Latest News section for the most current updates.
As a parent of an incoming Sophomore athlete, I thought it would be a great time to get a website started where we can share news and get the latest updates on the upcoming inaugural football season.
I know our son can't wait to get back into the game he so dearly loves. As a parent, I was quite skeptical about changing schools and programs. Old friends and team mates broken up often can lead to chaos in many forms. My son was firmly entrenched in Mandarin and had earned his coaches respect with hard work and attitude. He was fortunate enough to letter as a Freshman and was projected to start on the Varsity squad in his Sophomore year.
I had no idea who Athletic Director Blount hired as head football coach of our new school. Being somewhat new to Jacksonville, I didn't know much about Coach Sullivan. It wasn't too hard to find many articles about his accomplishments that quickly calmed my fears. Our whole family was excited to meet him, along with the new Principle at the first informational meeting. At the end of the meeting, Coach took plenty of time to speak to all of the young men in attendance (as well as family members) to answer any questions they had. His accomplishments of building great teams and molding young men has been very impressive. Ending his tenure at Jackson, he won 22 of his final 24 games. I was also blown away by the number of athletes that have played under Coach who have had the opportunity to gain scholarships throughout the years. This guy has connections folks!
For those who don't know, Coach Sullivan ended up a finalist after being nominated by Leon Washington as NFL High School Coach of the Year
